The end of October is a natural end for the open air season, in the same way that the 1st of May starts it. For the last few weekends, including yesterday, I've been doing felling work now the weather is cooler.
The Middle Ride is now widened and mostly open to the sky all the way to the T-Junction in the north-east corner of the site. I then started on the North Ride, which is a rough semi-circle going round near the edge of the wood all the way back to the start of the Middle Ride. I marked out the routes of all these rides with canes last year, but before widening they're little more than single-file trackways.
