Last weekend mia and I camped out at Bridgewood again. I've already posted about making switches and birches on Sunday, but want to say a bit about the rest of the weekend.
The first thing is we used a new and larger Coleman Coastline tent, which is high enough to walk into and not much harder to put up than the old tent. It's big enough for people to sit in during a rain shower, so we could dispense with the tent gazebo on event days. mia also did a good job of cooking some burgers in the open in the evening.
On Sunday we tried out my new Glider II pony cart, which has a lower seat than my original attempt and is a lot simpler: basicallly the two shafts go straight to the bicycle wheel axles, level with the seat. This design is more stable and makes it easier to pull up over obstacles, and mia managed to get all the way round the Middle and North Rides - a pony cart distance record for Bridgewood of half a kilometre or so, and that over some ground not mowed for a month.
