Bridgewood is a 20 acre woodland in North Shropshire between Manchester and Birmingham, owned by Tanos and managed for wildlife and Open Air BDSM. The FAQ list answers the most common questions about the wood.

3 May 11   Cooking

I put together a new fire pit at the weekend in front of the Log Cabin at Bridgewood. This one has a frame made from wooden poles with a metal cross bar and hanging grill. mia cooked some "a-mazing" pizzas on it, which tasted all the better for the smokey fire and being cooked with wood from the wood. 1 May 11   Mowing

Yesterday I took the scythe mower to Bridgewood for the first time this year and did the Glade and the kilometre of rides. So following glorious weather for most of April, we're now ready on the First of May for the start of the Open Air season and this years Bridgewood events.

11 Apr 11   Shelter from the storm

This spring's big project at Bridgewood has been the log cabin in the Glade. I took some pictures of it in the glorious sunshine yesterday and you can also see how the trees and ground cover are now in leaf. The weekend before, mia and I had lunch in the cabin during a brief hail storm, and it's lovely to have a proper building there now rather than the tents and shelters we've relied on up to now. 12 Jan 11   Provisional Bridgewood dates for 2011

Tonight I've posted dates for the Bridgewood Event Days in 2011 on the site's Open Air BDSM event list, along with those of the North Downs Pony Club in Kent.

18 Jul 10   This weekend at Bridgewood

July's event day took place this weekend, with 9 of us enjoying the sunshine and the possibilities of the wood. On Sunday, mia and I went back and I attacked the undergrowth appearing on the North Ride with a brushcutter. [more...]

25 Jun 10   Another weekend at Bridgewood

Last weekend mia and I camped out at Bridgewood again. I've already posted about making switches and birches on Sunday, but want to say a bit about the rest of the weekend. [more...]

23 Jun 10   Making switches and birches

Last week there was a thread about birches on IC so while I was at Bridgewood this weekend, I decided to take some pictures of cutting switches and making a birch from the hazel which is abundant in the wood. Birch itself and willow are also good woods for this, but I naturally concentrate on hazel. [more...]

4 Jun 10   New Bridgewood video

I've uploaded a new video of the Glade and Holding Pen that I made last weekend. I've not done any videos since last autumn, and this one is now in HD which is much better for the highly textured woodland backgrounds. [more...]

24 May 10   Camping at Bridgewood

mia and I had our first camping trip to this weekend, with the weather hot and sunny both days, and warm over night. As well as being fun and convenient, this gives us more options for the event days which could cover both days of a weekend sometimes. [more...]

19 May 10   Lash, Bridgewood, Deer, Boscobel, BBB

It's turning out that mia and I have weekends that are either very busy or quiet. This weekend was very busy, with Club Lash, visitors to Bridgewood, a stay overnight in the Midlands, a visit to Boscobel House and then the BBB. [more...]
