Camping at Bridgewood

Posted by Tanos on Mon 24 May 10, 12:34 AM

mia and I had our first camping trip to this weekend, with the weather hot and sunny both days, and warm over night. As well as being fun and convenient, this gives us more options for the event days which could cover both days of a weekend sometimes.

The picture shows mia's tent with the swinging chair in the background. I've had the chair since 2008, but I've only been using its frame so far, mainly as a shelter for tools with a tarpaulin over it. I've now set it up with its seat and canopy in the Glade - just in time for this weekend's weather in the mid to high 20s.

I've not stayed overnight at the wood before, and so camping out also let me hear the birds roosting at dusk and beyond, the noises during the night, and the dawn chorus. Saturday night had the moon beyond half full and the Glade was bathed in its silver light when I got out to have a look in the middle of the night.
